Clan Steel Wind, one of the great clans of Tugha fighting under Kutabi’s banner, suffered a great defeat on the fields on Montreve. The loss of their general, the Khan of Steel Wind’s eldest son, their chief shaman and master of metal, as well as numerous of their warriors was a serious blow to the status of Steel Wind as a great clan.
Clan Crashing River, long time rivals to Steel Wind, see an opportunity to do away with their adversaries once and for all. But Steel Wind is still allied with the other Great Clans under Kutabi’s banner; to attack them directly would be seen as an attack on Kutabi herself and the other allied clans. In order to strike without retribution from the others, Crashing River has to prove they are more worthy to be under Kutabi’s banner. They need win a decisive victory in her name against her enemies, and replace Steel Wind under her banner.
The target they have chosen is that ever present thorn in their side: Parthia.
The Khaldi of Parthia have gotten wind of the Tughans’ intentions and have sent out as many scouts and patrol in an attempt to learn from where the Tughans will come. Their best intelligence think they will come through the Durossu region in the North East, home of the Tehrmisi band. While requests for aid have been sent to the Bechan/Illumin alliance, the Khaldi fear any reinforcements will not arrive in time, and have asked for the same heroes that helped defend the Illumin city of Montreve to come aid the Parthian people.
Will they answer the call?

Blurb:
As the weather has finally warmed, aggression is rising along both sides of the Blood River. The Legions’ attempts to move significant forces across to retake Sandeline are being sabotaged and blocked by swift moving Tughan forces. They have used the Blood River as a natural border, destroying bridges and harassing any armies attempting to cross. Strategists have struggled to determine their enemies’ goals, as the Tughans seem to be perpetuating the stalemate, both in the Caminus province and the fiefdom of Amstergraff in Bech. But now intelligence agents within Tughan occupied lands have returned with crucial reports.
There is a second hoard of Tughans coming in from the East. Their target: the mining city of Montreve, one of Illumin’s major sources of high quality steel. Losing Montreve would strike a serious blow to the Illumin Empire’s ability to arm its soldiers.
While the Regent attempts to get his armies to Montreve first, he fears they will be too late. The Illumin forces on the east side of the Blood River, south of the occupied territory, have been holding out as best they can, but reinforcements and supplies are few and far between. Much as a small group of heroes helped lead the liberation of Circadia, William of Ravenskar has made it known that he hopes a small group of heroes experienced with impossible situations can reach Montreve in time to save the city.

Game Blurb:
It has been a cold winter, and a somber one. The Pure Ones were defeated, but the wounds of that battle will linger for some time.
The newly formed Bechan/Illumin alliance has been tested already. The opposing coalition of the Ruvastan and Tughan forces have taken territories from both countries. Unusually fierce winter storms, normally a grave burden, have become a blessing in disguise, having prevented the invading forces from advancing any further.
While the leaders of the Alliance take the opportunity to plan their response to such a dire military threat, another political predicament has emerged. The Verrakin people, weary of government by thieves and assassins, elevated the Gaolers’ guild to prominence. This faith in the rule of law was meant to stabilize Verrakis. The Gaolers, however, put their own faith in a foreign power, the Hashashin of Bayseid, in order to maintain their rule. Even worse than these vile outsiders, the Gaoler’s guild enslaved people under the pretense of criminal punishment to make good on the city’s promises to the outside world. Despite these outrageous expedients, the Gaolers have been unable to maintain order with their nightmare magic and stolen clockwork horrors. The loss of their Hashashin enforcers, jailbreak after jailbreak, and simultaneous scandals have rocked their political position. Now, with their power and credibility at their nadir, the Gaolers have called upon yet another foreign power, the Tughan confederation, to reassert their authority. Will the heroes lead the people of Verrakis to find the courage and the wisdom to free themselves from this totalitarian regime? Or will they let Verrakis completely abandon the West?

BLURB:

For centuries Bereth q’Mahn has worked in the shadows. Tortured, violated, and betrayed, she awoke to the world once more alive and unmade. From there she worked tirelessly to bring about her vision for a better world. One in which humanity no longer held primacy, in which the villains who destroyed her life were punished, and in which she could live in peace with the love of her life.
Forever.
She would do anything to bring about her new order, she would drown the world in blood and devour the powers of her own mother. She would sacrifice the lives of tens of thousands, for the potential magic inside of them.
All it would take was an absurd amount of preparation, and magic. Most importantly, it would take stores of blood to branch out through the bloodlines of the world and rob the unworthy of their power.
The world would be Pure once more.
Or it would have, had a band of miscreant humans and blood traitors not set about systematically dismantling the efforts of eight centuries. Even this inconvenience was not an end, Bereth could start over. She is patient, intelligent, and capable.
Things could still go according to plan.
Until those same petty miscreants murdered Alda Amoth.
Now nothing will be Pure, ever again. Bereth is no longer focused upon making a better world. The world is unworthy of Purity. It will suffocate under the weight of countless fallen soldiers, under the corpses of dragons and wraith kings alike.
But most importantly, under the mutilated corpses of those that took her love from her.
When all is said and done, Bereth will sit alone on her throne and weep.
Vengeance is all that matters now.
Heroes gather at the Scrollbearer’s Abbey in a last defiant attempt to save the world from the Pure Ones agenda. They know some things that Bereth q’Mahn does not, for once. They have a plan to strip her of her necromantic control over the spiritual corpse of an Elven Radiance.
But will they succeed? And if they succeed, what will it cost?
